The place and hosts were amazing! It was a perfect set up for the small girls weekend we had planned. We even opted to stay in at the house longer than our original plans because the house was so cozy and accommodating! The directions provided were clear and easy and John and Christine were very responsive. Definitely would come back!

This was truly one of the best air bnbs we have ever stayed in. The home is in a perfect location for ski groups (we comfortably slept 13 adults with plenty of room for hanging out and playing games), being close to the mountain but still a private spot. The views are breathtaking and the home is well stocked with anything you can need—including the best hot—while being clean and spacious. Beyond the gorgeous home that was even better than the photos, the hosts were extremely communicative and helpful during a crazy snow storm. They stayed in constant contact with private snow plowers and kept us in the loop. I cannot recommend this home enough! Thank you John and Christine for a wonderful stay.

Pineview is perfect for a Wintergreen visit! Our 14 person group was so comfortable we didn’t even mind that our ski day was rained out! The amenities, especially the rock wall and hot tub, were hits with everyone. And the kitchen was huge, well-stocked and so comfortable for multiple people to be cooking/working at the same time. We’re already looking forward to another stay at Pineview.

We had a great Christmas holiday in this house. We had everything we needed, the house was well appointed and squeaky clean. The bedrooms are all separated in their own “wings” with adjoining bathrooms which was perfect for us. The furniture and beds were very comfy and the towels and sheets were soft. The views of the bay are stunning and we really enjoyed watching the big blue heron hunt on the dock,several bald eagles on a nearby dock and a beaver swimming by. Sitting on the dock at sunset was magical. There’s a grocery store 13 mins away and it was super quick and easy to get into old town Fredericksburg. We never had any traffic between this house and FXBG… the famous fxbg traffic seems to be on the other side of town. If you want to be nearby all the cool town stuff but also want to enjoy the quiet natural environment, this is perfect. You can see the place where Pocahontas was captured right across the creek bay. So much history there. Thanks for sharing this great house!

The house was great with a beautiful view and nice fireplace outside and inside. The kitchen was so well stocked with everything. We had a great family trip. There was a little bit hiccup with the hot tub but I would still give it a 5-star since the host was so responsive and offered a credit for the inconvenience. Highly recommend the place. The host was so flexible with early check-in and late check out.

Fantastic stay! Place is even nicer than the pictures and a great home for a big group. Really well-equipped, with beautiful views.

Just book this place, you won’t regret it. We went for our annual family vacation and it was spectacular! The views of the water and the outdoor pool area are the main draws for this house, but it is extremely comfortable all around. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out a bit if needed, and the town of Fredricksberg is close for a night out if you want one. We will be trying to book this one again next year if we can.

It was like we were at our own private resort. The home was beautiful both inside and out. We were able to spend quality time and connect with family without having to worry about anything. The house had top quality amenities, gorgeous views and privacy. Check-in was simple and John and Christine provided all the info we would need to feel at home. They were super quick to fix an issue that came up. We have spent a lot of time over the last 10 years looking for that perfect family spot and I truly believe we found it. Thank you so much for opening your home to us — we will definitely be looking to come here again !!!!!

We selected this rental based on the outside area and the view, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hosts are friendly and very responsive. One of our favorite rooms was the screened porch. The beds are very comfortable and being able to bring our dog with us was great. Everyone enjoyed the family vacation and we would recommend this rental.

The pictures don’t do it justice - it was better than I expected. The view, the pool area, the dock, the privacy. We spent more time outside by the pool, on the dock, and in the screened in porch,m than in the house!! The grill was great too - lunch and dinners and even one breakfast was made poolside. This will be an annual stop for our family as long as it remains available. 12 out of 10.
